    Staff report PORTALES — Coming off their first victory on Saturday, the first-year Clovis Christian soccer program dropped to 1-2 on Monday with an 8-2 loss to the Portales junior varsity. The Eagles, a mix of boys and girls players, traveled to Las Vegas on Saturday and defeated the Robertson junior varsity 5-1. County officials and attorneys confirmed a settlement had been reached, but they declined to provide terms because the terms had not been finalized. Ruben Lozano filed a lawsuit against the county in March after being released from the Roosevelt County Detention Center in September 2015 following more than two years of incarceration.
