    CLOVIS — Three inmates who escaped from the Clovis jail on Friday were captured Tuesday after a standoff with police at an apartment near Dennis Chavez Park. Shots were fired, but the nearly three-hour standoff on Clovis’ west side ended at 6:09 p.m. with no injuries reported.     RICHARDSON, Texas — Angelo State’s Kami Norton became the third two-time women’s winner of the Fred Jacoby Academic Athlete of the Year, announced this week by the Lone Star Conference.     TUCUMCARI — A Tucumcari man was fatally shot by a Quay County sheriff's deputy during a hostage situation early Tuesday morning in Tucumcari.     CLOVIS — A corrections officer accused of helping three inmates escape the Curry County Adult Detention Center Friday is back at the center. This time, it’s on the other side of the cell doors.
