Clovis Regional Airport is scheduled to host a “full-scale emergency exercise” from 8 a.m. to noon today.
“This exercise aims to enhance coordination and preparedness among multiple agencies, ensuring a swift and effective response to any potential emergency,” according to a city of Clovis news release.
The release warns area residents that the exercise will result in “an increased presence of response vehicles heading to and operating at the Clovis Regional Airport.” The activities are part of the scheduled training, but will not impact regular operations at the airport, the release stated.
Clovis police and fire department, along with Cannon Air Force Base and airport officials will all participate in the training.
