Jim and Libby Peabody will celebrate 50 years of marriage on May 25.

The high school sweethearts married in Tucumcari, attended Eastern New Mexico University, and raised three boys, all of whom graduated from Texico where Jim and Libby still live.

Jim is the pastor of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and Libby retired from teaching at Texico.

Their family is hosting a public celebration reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
