A Muleshoe woman died Wednesday night in a vehicle crash in Lamb County, Texas, near Amherst.
Sherri Harrison, 57, was killed after her 2009 Toyota Camry collided with a truck near the intersection of U.S. 84 and Farm to Market Road 37, according to a report by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Harrison’s vehicle was leaving a private drive off U.S. 84 and “pulled into the path” of a 1998 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by Clay Hayes, 66, of Albuquerque, according to DPS.
Hayes was not injured. Harrison was transported to Lamb County Healthcare Center where she died, DPS reported.
Harrison was a Bailey County judge from 2005 to 2022, when she lost a re-election bid to Basil Nash.
