CCC graduation rate up

Clovis Community College will be graduating more students this year than in 2023.

This year, the number of graduates will be about 479, over 80 more than in 2023 according to CCC Director of Enrollment Services and Registrar Kari Smith.

Hall gave her report to the CCC Board of Trustees at their regular May meeting Wednesday.

Hall reported 221 Associate’s degrees will be handed out, 103 Certificates of Completion and 155 Certificates of Achievement.

Smith said 160 graduates will be walking in Friday’s graduation.

The ceremony is set for 6 p.m. Friday at the Clovis Civic Center.

CCC’s pinning ceremony for Nursing graduates is set for 1 p.m. Thursday at the Clovis Civic Center.

Pinning for Rad Tech graduates is set for 6 p.m. Thursday, also at the civic center.

In other business:

Science instructor Michelle Hughes and Nursing instructor Elena Soto received national awards from the National Institute of Staff and Organizational Development.

The Board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for June 5, 8 a.m. in the Board’s meeting room at the college.
