BNSF Railway officials have planned repairs to the Norris Street crossing on Friday, further challenging motorists traveling north and south across Mabry Drive.
A city of Clovis news release states the northbound outside lane and southbound outside lane at the Norris Street railway crossing will be undergoing repairs Friday. Those repairs are expected to take place between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., the release stated.
The crossing will remain open, but one lane both directions will be closed while repairs are made. Officials urge “residents and commuters to plan alternate routes and allow for extra travel time to accommodate potential delays caused by the repairs,” the release states.
The Prince Street overpass remains closed; it’s expected to be reopened in mid-June, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
The Hull Street overpass is open west of Clovis.
