Obituary: Ted Lee Richardson

September 22, 1958 - January 22, 2024

Ted Lee Richardson, age 65, of Texico, NM passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024. A public visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at The Chapel of Angels 1430 Thornton St. Clovis, NM 1:00 PM-3:00 PM. Services will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 10:00 AM at 21st Street Church of Christ, 1720 W. 21st, Clovis, NM with Troy Oliver officiating.

Rusty Rucker, Delbert Sours, Bill Morrison, Kyle Cain, Byron Mayfield, and Charlie Vannatta will serve as pallbearers. Deacon's at 21st Church of Christ and Pleasant Hill Fire Fighters will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Ted was born on September 22, 1958, to Roy Lee Richardson and Lola Wall in Clovis, NM. He married Deanne Day Richardson 45 years ago on December 2, 1978, Ted farmed all his life, and truly had the heart of a servant. He was a Deacon at 21st. Street Church of Christ, Ted served on the Texico School Board from 1993-2009 even serving as president for many of those 16 years, also he was a 4-H shooting sports leader for many years. Ted volunteered for the Pleasant Hill Volunteer Fire Department and was Chief for many of those 40 years. Ted will be missed by his loving wife, children, and grandchildren.

Ted is survived by his wife; Deanne of the home, his two children; Wade Richardson of Pleasant Hill, NM, Daughter; Lori (Ryan) Scott of Clovis, NM. Two grandchildren; Wyatt Scott and Hattie Scott, of Clovis, NM. His mother Lola Richardson of Pleasant Hill, NM, Sisters; Vicke (Johnny)Autrey of Alto, NM, Carla (Steven) Kaltwasser of Farwell, TX, Brother; Ken (Tamara) Richardson of Roswell, NM, Mother-in-law Janie Day of Farwell, TX, Sister -in- law Sheryl (Ricky) Lockmiller of Melrose, NM, Brother- in- law Jeff (Jodie) Day of Hobbs, NM, Brother-in-law Michael Day of Shallowater, TX as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ted was preceded in death by his father; Roy Richardson, Brother; Rex Richardson, and Father-in-Law; D. Smith Day.
