Obituary: Harden Andrew Douglas III

July 1, 1948 - January 21, 2024

Harden Andrew Douglas III, also known as "Andy," a cherished husband, father, grandfather and friend, departed from this world and was embraced with open arms in Heaven on January 21, 2024.

Andy's journey began on July 1, 1948, in Muleshoe, Texas, born to Harden Andrew "H.A." Douglass III and Ruby Helen "Chubby" (Seales) Douglass. He attended high school in Muleshoe, TX , where he met his high school sweetheart, Terri Jan (Wiedebush) Douglass. They married on November 10, 1967, and were blessed with two children, Harden Andrew "Drew" Douglass IV, and Brandon "Blake" Douglass.

Andy dedicated over 40 years of his career to both banking and farming. He spent the last two decades of his career with the Citizens Bank of Clovis New Mexico where he retired. The Douglass family seized every opportunity to spend quality time together in the mountains or at the lake, whether it be a weekend getaway in Ruidoso, New Mexico, or summers in Colorado.

Andy leaves behind a legacy of warmth, love, and laughter that will forever reside in the hearts of his surviving family members and friends. His immense love, boundless laughter, and comforting warmth will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Andy is preceded in death by his parents. Andy is survived by his wife, Terri; his two sons, Harden Andrew "Drew" Dougalss IV of Lubbock, Texas and Brandon Blake Douglass and his wife, Valerie of Gunter, Texas; his sister, Kay Field of Muleshoe, Texas; and his five grandchildren, Haleigh Douglass, Hope Douglass, Grant Douglass, Luke Douglass and Brock Douglass.

In celebrating Andy's life, we remember him as a passionate Christian, loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. As we say our farewells, we hold onto the warmth of his memory, which will forever be in our hearts.

Church service for Harden Andrew "Andy" Douglass III, age 75, of Clovis, New Mexico, is scheduled for 1:00 PM (NM time), Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Grace Fellowship Church in Clovis, NM with Farrill DeFoor of Clovis officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park.
