Clovis EDC scores $10,000 grant

Clovis Economic Development was recently awarded a $10,000 grant from Wells Fargo Bank.

According to a news release from CED, “the funds will be used to re-establish the certified business incubator at the Business Enterprise Center.”

“We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Wells Fargo in supporting local entrepreneurs. The money will be used for programming and marketing the business incubator,” CED Executive Director Tina Dziuk said.

The release reported the grant from Wells Fargo follows a $12,500 local economic assistance and development support grant from the New Mexico Economic Development Department earlier this year for new office equipment.

According to the news release the mission of CED is “to develop and recruit new businesses and industry which strengthens and diversifies the economic base of Clovis and Curry County by investing new capital and creating new jobs.”

Re-establishing the business incubator at the Business Enterprise Center is going to provide new tools and other resources needed to help ensure the success of local entrepreneurs, according to the news release.
