Obituary: Gage Emijedio Sandoval

Gage Emijedio Sandoval, age 20 of Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on November 25, 2023 outside Plains, Texas.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the 16th and Pile Church of Christ with Michael Harmon, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in the Mission Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Gage was born on May 9, 2003 in Clovis, New Mexico to Max Sandoval and Crystal Mendoza. Growing up he loved working on classic cars and trucks with his grandfather, Valentine Sena. He made many friends growing up an anyone who knew him would tell you how great a man he was.

Gage loved his family with all his heart, especially his younger brothers. He loved going fishing, camping, swimming, exploring and being with family. He had many cousins he spent a lot of time with. He briefly moved back to Clovis, but by late 2020 he had settled in Carlsbad. He graduated in 2023 and had plans to go to college to become a welder just like his mom and grandfather Valentine Sena.

Gage is preceded in death by his mother Crystal Mendoza, his Grandmother Lucy Mendoza, his Aunt Vodie Wilcox, his Grandfather Valentine Sena, Uncle Emijedio Sena, and his Grandpo Thomas Saiz.

Gage is survived by his Father Max (Sandy) Sandoval; three brothers, Thomas Sandoval, Cesario Sandoval and Abraham Sandoval; his Nana, Isabell Saiz; his Tias, Guadalupe (Manuel) Sandoval and Irma (Dill) Saiz; his Uncles, Solomon (Tamara) Sena and Domingo (Lorraine) Chavez; his Aunt, Heather Mendoza Garcia; step-sister, Selena Verdeja; best friend Jax; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be his cousins Joseph Sandoval, Vicente Arguijo, Jayden Torres, and his brothers Thomas Sandoval, Cesario Sandoval and Jack Hand. Abraham Sandoval will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.

Gage is loved by many and will be dearly missed. In his 20 years of life, he touched so many people and made so many people smile.
