Obituary: Juan Christopher Zamora

Juan Christopher Zamora, age 20, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Rosary to be held Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 5:00 PM with Rosa Marez reciting, both at The Chapel, 1500 Thornton Street. Mass of the Resurrection to be held on Monday, December 4, 2023, 11:00 AM with Father Sotero Sena officiating at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 108 Davis Street. Tyler Montaño, Kyle Hughes, Landon Casanova, Andres Romero, Mateo Chavez, and Eric Cruz will serve as pallbearers. Burial to follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens, 1601 E. Llano Estacado, Clovis, NM.

Juan was born on August 10, 2003, to Alfred Zamora and Jennifer Higgins in Clovis, NM. Juan was an incredible young man with a huge heart and will be dearly missed by so many. He was a man of few words with an old soul. He touched many hearts and will be forever remembered. He loved the outdoors, be it hunting, fishing, or hanging out with his friends. He was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at a year and a half, but he never let that hold him back. He was a pillar of strength.

Survivors include his parents; Alfred Zamora of Clovis, NM and Jennifer (Rudy Garza) Zamora of Sinton, TX, three sisters; Nicole (Joe) Mader of Phenix City, AL, Karina (Isaia Gutierrez) Zamora of Mathis, TX, Brianna Zamora of Sinton, TX, paternal uncles; Tino Zamora, Joe Zamora, Larry (Tina) Zamora, Martin (Debbie) Zamora, Tommy (Teresa Casarez) Zamora, David (Olivia) Zamora all of Clovis, NM, and Arnold Zamora of Granbury, TX, paternal aunts; Patricia Grant of Amarillo, TX, and Teresa (Mike Krell) Zamora of Clovis, NM, maternal grandmother; Tonie Chavez of Canyon, TX, maternal grandfather; Andrew Madrid of Santa Rosa, NM, maternal aunts; Janice Madrid, and Shannon Madrid both of Santa Rosa, NM. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Juan, and Elena Zamora.
