Texico mayor resigns for 'personal reasons'

Texico Mayor Jerry Bradley confirmed Tuesday he has resigned the position, effective immediately.

“I will confirm that I stepped down as mayor,” Bradley told The News. “It is for personal reasons I do not wish to divulge or discuss.”

Bradley most recently ran unopposed to win the seat in 2022. He was first elected in 2014. Prior to that, he served eight years on the Texico City Council, newspaper archives show.
