The Portales Walmart celebrated its grand re-opening Friday.
The location now has more than 1,000 new products, an expanded pharmacy with an added consultation room for vaccines and consultations, a larger service area for online pickup and delivery, several new bathrooms," and more," according to a Walmart news release.
The celebration was a community event focused on recognizing the store's 14 active and retired military associates. It also honored Portales and surrounding communities for their support in the aftermath of the Clovis Walmart fire.
The veteran associates in the store were presented with gifts and a certificate.
The event also featured giveaways for those in attendance.
