Weather claims Boo in the Zoo

The frosty weekend weather forecast has claimed its first victim -- Boo in the Zoo has been canceled.

The annual zoo fundraiser was scheduled Sunday, but called off in the face of a forecast that calls for freezing rain and 30 mph winds.

Zia Radio Group, the primary organizer, posted on its Facebook page that the city of Clovis will honor pre-purchased tickets as valid for future zoo visits.
