Now I'm in my 'nesting' era

This marks week 31, and I’m happy to report Baby Sena and I passed our glucose test with flying colors.

Now that we’re in the home stretch, the nesting and stress is getting more and more intense. Working around the house and trying to get things done is becoming a bit challenging considering my lungs are getting more and more squished in there. I often find myself having a hard time catching my breath.

And even though she’s only a little over 3 pounds, I would guess she weighs at least 5 because of how my center of gravity has shifted. That should get interesting the more she grows … I never thought I’d stumble around from just walking, but here we are.

If you’re an expecting mom, I would highly recommend tracking your pregnancy through “The Bump” app. It was recommended to me by my doctor and, week by week, every tip or piece of information it has given me has been spot on.

For example, in week 30, my app said I may start to feel some rhythmic thumps. What are these exactly? Well, they’re the baby’s hiccups. Crazy, right? Sure enough, the next morning, I could definitely feel some little pulsing thumps in a specific spot on my belly.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Pregnancy is a wild thing to experience. Some women love it, some hate it. It’s different for everyone. I wouldn’t say I love it or hate it either way, because it really has been hard. There’s no doubt it takes a toll on your body and your mental health. I will say, though, that I’m trying my best to not take it for granted. Feeling those little movements and getting my life ready for this new addition is something I know I’ll look back on one day and miss tremendously.

My appointments are now two weeks apart. Soon enough, I’ll be going back once every week. The excitement and nervousness are taking over!
