ENMU earns gold designation as military friendly campus

Eastern New Mexico University has earned the 2023-2024 Military Friendly® School Gold designation for a second consecutive year, ENMU announced in a news release.

Institutions earning the Military Friendly School designation were evaluated using public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey.

More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2023-2024 survey. A total of 530 schools earned award-level Gold, Silver, and Bronze designations, and 250 were selected for “Gold” award status for their leading practices, outcomes, and effective programs, the news release stated.

Military Friendly is owned and operated by VIQTORY, publisher of G.I. Jobs magazine. Military Friendly School designations can be found at militaryfriendly.com.

ENMU provides services to veteran military personnel, active-duty personnel, spouses and dependents, National Guard and Reserves members, and survivors of disabled or deceased veterans, according to the release.

In addition, the release states, ENMU is listed as a Best for Vets College in the Military Times periodical.

“ENMU greatly appreciates the service of all our active-duty and veteran military as well as the sacrifices their families make to allow such service,” James Johnston, ENMU chancellor, said in the release. “We are honored to be recognized as Military Friendly and take great pride in our efforts to provide higher education opportunities to our military personnel and their families.”
