Did you know the region’s average high temperature was 95.3 degrees from June 18 through June 30?

We exceeded 100 degrees twice in that spell, and hit 90 degrees or more on 12 consecutive days.

Those are the numbers recorded at the Agricultural Science Center north of Clovis anyway.

Here come the answers:

• The hottest temperature recorded this year at the Clovis ag center has been 103 degrees on June 28.

• The Tucumcari ag center has recorded 100 degrees or more six times this year. The highest was 105 on June 28.

• The coldest temperature recorded this year for Clovis was 10 degrees, four different times -- on Jan. 26 and three more days in February.

• Last year saw three days with temperatures below zero – Feb. 4 and Dec. 22-23.

• Moisture for the year at Clovis has totaled 14.05 inches through June 30.

• Moisture in all of 2022 was 9.78 inches for Clovis.

• Tucumcari’s ag center has recorded 8.04 inches of moisture so far this year.

• The year’s record for consecutive days without moisture is 58 – from Feb. 11 through April 9, in Clovis anyway.

• The record for consecutive days of moisture has been seven – from June 1-7.

• We’ve had only three days this year in which the temperature never climbed above freezing – Jan. 31, Feb. 1 and Feb. 17.
