Gattis 7th grade boys open basketball season

CLOVIS — The Gattis boys basketball team dropped three games to open its season, losing to Yucca 41-10, Texico 48-7 and Marshall 29-24.

Leading scorers for the Cubs were Victor Moreno with four points against Yucca, Timothy Gonzales-Galvan with six against Texico and Moreno, Peyton Kerby and Beau Clements with six each agains Marshall.

The next game for Gattis will be 5:30 p.m. on Monday at Yucca.
