Dead man found near railroad crossing identified

The dead man found on the railroad tracks just east of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Clovis Wednesday morning has been identified.

According to a news release from the Clovis police department, Ashley Montgomery, 46, of Colorado was identified by fingerprints taken and submitted into records after his body had been taken to the office of the medical investigator in Albuquerque.

Law enforcement agencies in Colorado have been notified of his death and will be handling notification of his next of kin.

No foul play is suspected in Montgomery’s death.
