Portales schools to hold hearing

Portales Municipal Schools will be holding a public hearing during its regular school board meeting, at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the L.C. Cozzens administrative offices board room in Portales.

The purpose of the hearing will be to discuss redistricting for seats on the Portales municipal school board. 

A company that helps communities with redistricting, Research and Polling, Inc., will have a representative on hand to provide guidance and redistricting information for the board and public for discussion.

New districts based on 2020 Portales area census data may be approved at next month’s regularly scheduled board meeting.
