Gloria M. Christensen has accepted the position of Executive Director of Strategic Planning & School Support – Secondary with Clovis Municipal Schools according to a news release.
Christensen began her administrative career with Las Cruces Schools in 2006 as assistant principal at Oñate High School.
With the opening of Centennial High School in 2012, Christensen transferred to the assistant principal position at Las Cruces’ newest school.
In 2013 Christensen joined the staff of Clovis Schools, accepting the position of assistant principal at Clovis High School.
In August 2016 Christensen was named principal of Gattis Middle School where she currently serves the students and staff.
Christensen received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Eastern New Mexico University and her masters degree in Educational Administration from New Mexico State University in 1998 and 2005.
In addition to her current degrees, she holds a New Mexico Level III professional K-8 teaching license with an endorsement in language arts, as well as a New Mexico Level III professional K-12 administrative license.
Christensen will assume this position on July.
