Police have new mobile app

CLOVIS — The Clovis Police Department has introduced a mobile app to help residents connect with the department to find information, view alerts, and submit anonymous tips from their smartphone.

The Clovis PD app is available for download for free via the Google Play Store, iTunes App Store, or by visiting the Clovis Police Department website at police.cityofclovis.org.

“The Clovis Police Department strives to make the City of Clovis a safer place to live, work, and play in by working in partnership with our community,” CPD Chief Doug Ford said in a release. “We believe our new Clovis PD app from tip411 will help us better connect and engage with our residents to help fight crime.”

The Clovis PD app and tip411 anonymous text a tip system are 100% anonymous, as the technology removes all identifying information before police see the tips and there is no way to identify the sender. Residents in Clovis without a smartphone can send an anonymous text tip via their cell phone to police by texting keyword CLOVISPD and their message/tip to 847411. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the department’s website.
