Causey woman dies in single-vehicle rollover

CAUSEY — A Causey woman died in a single-vehicle rollover Monday night, according to a New Mexico State Police release.

Eva Laverne Lee, 85, was pronounced deceased at a local hospital following the crash. No other passengers were referenced in the release.

According to the release, Laverne was traveling north on SR 114 in a 2011 Chevy four-door passenger truck. The vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree and rolled. Laverne was ejected from the vehicle.

Seatbelts did not appear to be properly used, according to the release.
