ENMU names Grawrock interim AD

PORTALES — Eastern New Mexico University has appointed Matthew Grawrock as its interim athletic director, according to a school release.

Grawrock, who has served the last three years as the college's associate athletic director for compliance and internal operations, began his duties Wednesday following the departure of Matt Billings. The university will soon begin a nationwide search for a permanent AD.

Grawrock came to ENMU from Southern Virginia University, where he worked in several roles since 2007. While at SVU, Grawrock was the head women's soccer coach and later an assistant athletic director. He was tasked with building the compliance office from the ground up as Southern Virginia transitioned from NAIA to NCAA Division III.

He also served as recreation coordinator at Tahoe City PUD Parks & Recreation in Tahoe City, California, and briefly served ENMU as interim men's soccer coach. Grawrock holds a master's degree in sports management from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Alabama, and a bachelor's degree from SVU.
