Beta Phi

The Beta Phi chapter of ESA in Clovis met Saturday with a cookout before a planned summer break. The meeting and cookout took place at the home of Royce and Patsy Lorenz.

New pledges to the chapter were Tim and Lisa Loflin, Laura White and John Mathis.

The chapter recognized years of service for Patsy Lorenz (35 years) and Laura Loflin (15 years). Jennette Bass was also recognized with a First Pallas Athene award.

New officers were installed for the upcoming year, which starts in September -- President Patsy Lorenz, Vice President John Mathis, Treasurer Collene Baldwin, Corresponding Secretary Laura Loflin, Recording Secretary Royce Lorenz, Parliamentarian Wendy Slaughter and Educational Director Jennette Bass. The chapter also celebrated 67 years of service with an April 24 party at Church of God in Clovis.

The next meeting is scheduled for Sept. 4.
