Portales men charged with trafficking

Local law officers arrested two Portales men on Tuesday, charging them with drug trafficking.

According to a news release from Curry County Sheriff Wesley Waller:

• A search warrant was conducted in the 500 block of South Avenue A in Portales, resulting in the arrests of Ebenezer

Zamora-Palacios, 20, and David Zamora-Palacios, 24. The search netted 1.3 pounds of bulk and

prepackaged suspected cocaine and 25.3 grams of bulk and prepackaged suspected

marijuana. The cocaine has an estimated street value of $31,000.

Portales police and the Curry County Sheriff's Office participated in the investigation.

The release said Ebenezer Zamora-Palacios was arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled

substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. David Zamora-Palacios was arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both were booked into the Roosevelt County Detention Center, where they were pending

arraignment.
