CHS basketball ticket sales ongoing

Clovis High School is selling reserved season tickets for the upcoming basketball season.

Season ticket holders from the 2018-19 season have until Tuesday to renew their tickets or inform the CHS athletics office of intent to relinquish their seats. Beginning Wednesday, any remaining tickets will be sold to the public.

Tickets are $135 per seat, with a $25 discount for active duty or retired military with a military ID card. The tickets are good for all regular season girls and boys games.

50-plus Olympics events set

A pair of events affiliated with the Clovis Area 50-Plus Olympics are set for this month.

The organization will host a shuffleboard workshop 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Nov. 14 at Roy Walker Gym.

The High Plains Cornhole Association is also putting together a fundraiser tournament on behalf of the Olympics. The tournament will be Nov. 16 at 800 Wood St. in Clovis, with registration set for 10 a.m.-10:45 a.m. onsite.

Club volleyball tryouts Nov. 17

The High Plains Volleyball Club will have tryouts Nov. 17 at Yucca Middle School.

Tryouts will be 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m. for players ages 12-14 and 4 p.m.-5:30 p.m. for players ages 15-18. Ages are as of Sept. 1.

Registration is $30 and is available by visiting suncountryvb.org/juniors-adults-officials-registration/ and selecting High Plains Volleyball Club.
