Curry County Association of Educational Retirees
The Curry County Association of Educational Retirees held its monthly meeting Tuesday.
The program included a review of the recent New Mexico Association of Educational Retirees conference in Raton by club president Eileen Masseey. The presentation started with a video created by Jason Davis to showcase Clovis for the upcoming NMAER 2020 Convention. Massey spoke spoke about the keynote speaker address concerning Social Security and Medicare issues. Dianne Davis related information we learned about Health care issues. State Volunteer hour winners received certificates. CCAER came in second in the state this year with 63,994.5 hours. Massey was recognized as our Outstanding Unit Member. Pat Archibeque spoke of the newly-elected state officers and how they will be acting on our behalf.
Retired Curry County educators and staff are invited to meetings held at K-Bob’s Steakhouse with 11 a.m. lunch and an 11:30 a.m. program. The next meeting is Nov. 5.
