Administrative transfers made

CLOVIS — Clovis Municipal Schools has made a quartet of administrative transfers, according to a release from the district.

Laura Adkins, Kristi Hopper, Nicole “Nikki” Hahn and Carrie Geisler will all change positions for the upcoming school year. They begin their new positions July 15.

• Adkins will become the district’s executive director of language, culture and at-risk services. She replaces Renee Russ, who will become superintendent for the district. Adkins had been principal at James Bickley Elementary since 2013, and previously served the district at Los Ninos and Lincoln-Jackson. She has also worked at Eastern New Mexico University and the Farwell and Portales school systems.

• Hopper will succeed Adkins as principal at Bickley. She has been at Bickley as a teacher since 2016, and started teaching at Bel Air Elementary in Albuquerque in 2004.

• Geisler will become principal at Parkview Elementary. She succeeds Wayne Marshall, who transferred to a teaching position at Yucca Middle School. She has taught 25 years at Parkview in grades 4-6. Last year, she received the New Mexico Excellence in Teaching award.

• Hahn will become principal at Cameo Elementary. She succeeds Michael Read, who resigned from the district. Hahn has been with the district since 1994, starting at Marshall Middle School. She transferred to Clovis High School Freshman Academy in 2010 and has been a district instructional coach since 2016.
