Portales High’s boys basketball program will run its summer camps May 28-30 at the PHS gym.

Boys entering grades 1-6 will go from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., while boys in grades 7-9 will go from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Registration is $50 and will be accepted on the first day of camp.

The Lady Ram Basketball Fundamental Camp is scheduled for May 28-30 at the Portales Junior High Gym.

There will be a 9 a.m.-11 a.m. camp for girls entering grades 3-5, with a $45 registration; and a 1 p.m.-3:30 p.m. camp for girls entering grades 6-8 with a $50 registration. Discounts will be given for multiple campers from the same immediate family.

Individual instruction will be provided by Ram coaches and current and former players. Registration includes a camp T-shirt and basketball, and is available on the first day of the camp.

Entries are now being accepted for the Clovis sand volleyball leagues.

Starting in June, games will be played in the women’s league Monday nights and the co-ed league Tuesday nights. Both leagues are comprised of four-person teams.

Registration is $60 per team and $25 per player and runs to May 30. Registrations may be delivered to 2000 Mitchell Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during normal business hours.

The 2019 Lady Wildcats Basketball Camp is open to girls entering grades 1-9 for the 2019-2020 school year.

The camp will be 8 a.m.-noon June 3-6 at Rock Staubus Gymnasium.

Registration is $60 and includes a camp T-shirt and basketball. A concession stand will be open during the camp for snacks and drinks.

First-day registration is available, but advance payments may be sent to Clovis High School, Attn: Jeff Reed, 1900 Thornton, Clovis, NM 88101. Checks should be payable to Junior Lady Cats Basketball. A waiver form must also be signed.

The Clovis Softball Association is accepting registrations for its summer season, with plans to begin play June 12.

Entry forms and registration fees are due May 29, and may be dropped off at 309 Commerce Way.

Season costs are $325, with a $40 if a team also played in the spring season and plans to keep the team name unchanged.
