Argument ends in injury

CLOVIS — A verbal argument at the corner of 21st Street and Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard earlier this week resulted in one person seeking medical treatment, according to Clovis Police Capt. Roman Romero.

Romero said a 43-year-old man entered Plains Regional Medical Center around 7:57 p.m. Wednesday night with a laceration to his abdomen.

Romero said the individual told officers that he didn’t realize he had been injured until the argument was over and the other person involved in the incident was Hispanic, but he did not want to answer any further questions, saying that he didn’t like “cops.”

Romero said no suspect has been identified.
