19 precious pups find forever homes

CLOVIS — At Saturday's adoption event Cindy's Hope for Precious Paws found new homes for 19 dogs, including seven of the Chihuahuas that were abandoned in Clovis last month.
"The turnout has been great, the support from the community has been great," Cindy's Hope for Precious Paws Co-founder Wendy Turner said. "A lot of people have come out to just see the dogs and find out what happened, so it's just been really positive."
Turner said the dogs that were not adopted on Saturday will go back to their foster homes and will likely be a part of the group's next adoption event to be held Feb. 16-18.
