Pre-school registration
Parents interested in enrolling 3- or 4-year-old students in the Dora Pre-School Program are to call Stacy Smith, Pre-School teacher, at (575) 714-1799 to make a screening appointment. Screening and registration will be held today.
Registration
Today is Registration Day for students returning to grades K through 12 at Dora Consolidated Schools. The teachers and front office will be available from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Registration will be on a come-and-go basis; buses will not run and the cafeteria will not be serving. This will provide an opportunity for parents and teachers to discuss the upcoming school year.
Parents will bring their elementary students to sign in and visit with their teacher, see their classroom, bring their supplies to school, and get settled in to start school next week. High school students will sign in with their class sponsor, receive their class schedule and prepare their lockers. Students will also receive their student handbooks, yearly and monthly school calendars, and student registration packets.
Monday will operate as a normal school day from 7:55 a.m. until 3:50 p.m.
Welcome new staff
The Dora School staff would like to welcome our new staff members for the 2017-2018 school year. Joining us will be Pamela Kratzer, special education DD teacher; Sally McAteer, special education resource teacher; Alice Marie Stevens, science; Leah Sides, speech-language pathologist; and Sarah Fisher, cafeteria.
