Police seek information on shooting

CLOVIS — The Clovis Police Department is seeking information on a shooting late Wednesday morning near the 300 block of Thornton Street.

According to a press release, officers responded to a report of a lone gun shot at the location, but found no victims or obvious damage.

Less than half an hour later, they were dispatched to Plains Regional Medical Center, where they found a 20-year-old man receiving treatment for a gunshot wound to his right thigh.

The man would not answer questions from a police detective and was transported to Lubbock for additional medical treatment.

A search of the area surrounding the 300 block of Thornton gave no new results.
