WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Tom Udall, D-New Mexico, is accepting applications for nominations to U.S. military service academies in the fall of 2018.
Four of the nation’s five service academies — the U.S. Military Academy (West Point), the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy — require a congressional, vice presidential or service-connected nomination as part of the application process. The U.S. Coast Guard Academy does not require a nomination.
Nominations will be accepted until Oct. 13, and can be submitted online at tomudall.senate.gov/help/academy-nominations.
Information sessions will be held April 13 at Santa Fe Capital High, April 19 at Highland High School in Albuquerque, April 27 at Mayfield High School in Las Cruces and May 6 at Durango (Colorado) High School.
