PORTALES — Eastern New Mexico University football coach Kelley Lee on Monday announced that Ivan Cordova has been hired as the team’s new defensive coordinator.
Cordova has spent the last two seasons as the defensive line coach at the University of New Mexico, following a five-year stint as the defensive coordinator/linebackers and defensive backs coach at New Mexico Highlands.
Prior to that, he was a graduate assistant defensive line coach at Division I UNLV.
Cordova graduated from Cal State-San Bernardino in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in history. He pursued his master's degrees at both UNM and UNLV.
