Men

When: 7:30 p.m. today in a Lone Star Conference game in Silver City.

Records: WNMU 2-10 (0-4 LSC), ENMU 6-8 (0-4 LSC)

Last meeting: Nov. 22, 2014, Greyhounds defeated the Mustangs 94-87 in Albuquerque.

Last time out: The Mustangs picked up their second win of the season, defeating Benedictine at Mesa in Silver City, 67-59. The Greyhounds overcame a close matchup with Wayland Baptist in Portales, winning 80-74.

Of note: The Mustangs are currently tied with the Greyhounds for last place in the Lone Star Conference, with both looking for their first conference win on the season. Led by Jordan Enriquez who is averaging 13.5 points per game, Western New Mexico, which went 1-26 last season and is in its first LSC season, averages an LSC-low 64.4 points per game while shooting only 35 percent from the field. Sophomore Willie McCray, a Clovis native, is averaging 10.3 points, 2.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds for the Mustangs. . . ENMU leads the all-time series 48-43.

Women

When: 5:30 p.m. today in a Lone Star Conference game in Silver City.

Records: WNMU 4-7 (0-4 LSC), ENMU 8-3 (4-0 LSC)

Last meeting: Nov. 30, 2015. ENMU handed the Mustangs a 64-41 setback in Silver City.

Last time out: The Greyhounds are coming off a 82-46 thumping of Div. III Sul Ross State. The Mustangs have had several weeks of rest, having last played Dec. 19, 2016, against Fort Lewis where they were handed a 65-49 loss.

Of note: Eastern leads the all-time series 4-3, with the Greyhounds winning the last two matchups between the two teams. The Mustangs are averaging 61 points per game, led by Jordan Gutierrez who ranks third in the LSC in scoring . . . Western has the poorest shooting percentage in the conference, hitting only 35 percent from the floor.
