CCRW met Nov. 8 at K-Bob’s Steakhouse.
Rube Render, Curry County Republican Committee chairman, thanked members for their support. Many yard signs were displayed. The monthly breakfast has been canceled due to the Veterans Day parade on Saturday which will honor Marines and Purple Heart Veterans.
The nominating committee presented the 2017 nominations as: President, Judy Jennings; secretary, Gladys Birdsong; and treasurer, Debbie Spriggs. Vice President positions remain open. Slate of officers was approved. President Jennings appointed Debbie Spriggs as parliamentarian.
Guest speaker Kathy Hamill presented information about GriefShare held at Central Baptist Church. She focused on “Surviving the Holidays for the Grieving” to be held Nov. 12 from 9 a.m.-11 a.m.
Next meeting will be at K-Bob's Steakhouse on Dec. 13 at 11:30 a.m.

Beta Phi
Seven members and three guests, Laura Loflin, Linda Hay, George Hay, Sandy Heath, Jeff Heath, Zane Headlee, Beverly Miller and Suzy Moore, attended the OctoberFest on Oct. 22 at Patsy Lorenz’s home.
Lorenz initiated her husband, Royce, into Epsilon Sigma Alpha, a service organization for men and women.
