We asked our Facebook followers: “What was your favorite memory of the first day of school growing up?”
A few responses:
• Monica Cordova Jaime: I remember Friday candy sales, McDonald’s and Taco Bell able to purchase at school along with snack bar at lunch or sodas, candy, hot pockets etc. Now days I can’t even get my kids to eat their lunch or breakfast due to disgusting meal choices.
• Courtney Sylvester: Finding out what friends were in my class.
• Virginia Herrera: Wearing the first one of our new outfits, after not being able to wear them at all, till that day.
• Jess Chaparro: Meeting the teachers and other kids.
We asked our Facebook followers: “Now that summer vacation is over, what's the one thing you wish you got to do over the break?”
A few responses:
• Cara Gray: Take a vacation.
• Nathan Macias: Sleep.
• Maxima Gallegos: Take a long vacation out of town.
• Lisa Brown: Get a garden put in.
• Jess Chaparro: Go to an amusement park.
We asked our Facebook followers: “What are your thoughts on the fair so far, assuming you’ve gone.”
A few responses:
• Natalie Cordova: I enjoyed the layout of everything. It seemed less crowded and everything was a bit more accessible than in the past years. Kids had a lot of fun and I enjoyed the food as always.
• Karina Torres: Better than last year, more rides for the little ones and the employees were much nicer. My kids had a blast.
