A look at permits issued by the city in June and July, according to city records.
• 3: New residential permits filed in June.
• 1: New residential permits filed in July.
• 11: Residential remodel permits filed in June, the third-highest month of the year behind May (18) and April (14).
• 69: Total residential remodel permits filed in 2016, including two in July.
• 24: Reroof permits filed in June and July, with 12 filed in each month and 82 total for the year.
• 6: Commercial remodels filed in July, bringing the 2016 total to 29.
• $68,246: The most expensive permit fee in July, filed by Dahlgreen Industrial for $30.5 million in plant expansion work for Southwest Cheese. It is easily the highest fee of 2016, accounting for more than half of all permit fees in 2016. The previous high fee was $5,666 in May, also by Dahlgreen to do foundation work for the plant.
• $20: Least expensive permit with an actual cost in July, charged for four separate fence permits. The lowest permit fee is also $20 in June, filed for two right-of-way curb cuts and a fence permit.
• 47: Total permits filed in June.
• 33: Total permits filed in July.
• 286: Total permits for 2016.
