City discusses threatened litigation

Staff report

The Clovis city commission held an executive session Monday night at the Clovis-Carver Public Library to discuss threatened litigation.

Under section 10-15-1 of the New Mexico Open Meetings Act, the session was a closed meeting, as it was subject to attorney-client privilege pertaining to threatened litigation in which the public body is or may become a participant.

After about an hour-long session, City Manager Larry Fry declined to say who threatened the city or why.

The commission took no action following the executive session.
