There’s nothing better for sun protection and style than a great hat for summer. Now that the sun is blazing, it’s a good idea to get in the habit of covering your head before you step outside. The best way to get portable shade is your hat, so you may as well make a style statement with it.

What’s my first hat choice? I’m a big fan of a wide-brimmed hat because, of course, they provide the most shade and they look more chic. I opt for a Henschel Aussie mesh breezer most days because on most occasions I’m sporting some type of the homebody look and this hat is sporty enough for any laid back style. It’s also is great work for working outdoors and great for driving or because most are equipped with drawstrings.
These mesh breezers are best because they have just enough ventilation in to keep your crown cool to avoid big sweats. No lady likes to sweat. For the most part, I enjoy the Henschel because it has a similar style and fit of my favorite styled hat -the casual Panama fedora.
The Panama hat looks great with every look. Just like the Henschel, I’ll occasionally pair it with a sporty attire. But in most cases it’s reserved for a chicer style. Whether you’re out for a stroll, at a festival, on the beach or hanging at the park, this is a great hat for all occasions. It’s the perfect hat for summer.
What’s trending now? It may come as a surprise to some but the baseball cap is trending big time for women this season. There’s a variety of styles, textures and those equipped with accessories that are very popular. For example, a furry pom pom adorned at the top was big for a moment. But now you’ll see expressive prints and leather or suede covered ball caps.
It’s OK to pair a soft “snapback” (adjustable flat brim baseball cap) with a cute summer dress. That’s if you’re into that look.
