Berry: Pending marriage brings trip down memory lane

My oldest granddaughter has decided to get married at the end of the summer. It is hard to imagine her being old enough, but I guess she is. She is marrying a pretty good guy and we are all pretty excited for her.

My wife and I have put pictures on our refrigerator ever since she was a baby. I stood at the side of the fridge and took a trip down memory lane.

I saw the picture of her when she was a toddler and wanted to sit in my lap to read me a story. It didn't matter that she could not read, we both enjoyed her giving it a try.

I also have a picture of her wearing my boots. The boots were as long as her legs and she could not walk in them, but she still tried.

There are plenty of pictures of her when she was a cheerleader and several others of her in various ballerina performances.

There are years of different Halloween costumes as well as prom pictures.

I am sure we will be adding several more family pictures as well as wedding pictures. As I stand looking, I guess my allergies are acting up. My eyes are getting a little runny.
