Hartsfield: Spring best time to play with color

The first day of spring was March 20, but you wouldn’t have been able to guess by the weather. But now we’re settling into April and it’s finally starting to feel like it’s time to get into those spring fashions.

One major focus for fashion this season is color. Spring time is the time fashion people have the most fun experimenting with color. One of my weekly fashion reads by Rose Theodora and Taylor Stephan at eonline.com talks about color horoscopes.

According to this month’s color horoscope, “April is about further contemplating whether or not you are living life to your fullest potential. This is the time to enhance your intellect, expand your mind and, ultimately, your options. Sign up for that class, take a trip and work at being more well-rounded. Sporting the color red this month amplifies all of your best attributes and reminds you of what you are: Fierce, spontaneous and adventurous.”

Apparently every zodiac sign has a power color this season. As I read on, my monthly horoscope power color for Scorpio is citrine or lemon-colored. It says bright yellow is supposed to make me happy. Although I’m not the biggest fan of wearing yellow, I can be more open to color changes.

What’s your power color this month? Taurus should wear mauve. Gemini is denim blue. Cancer is wearing burnt umber (suede). Leo is aqua. Virgo wears metallic this month to remind you of your hidden side. Libra is wearing gray. Sagittarius should wear coral and Capricorn is wearing periwinkle blue.

If all colors fail, wear white. As events and outdoor time become more abundant, you can’t go wrong wearing white. Before you know it, we’ll all be in summer’s scorching heat so the thinner and lighter the fabric, the more comfort.
