Canned goods get discounted pizza
Domino’s pizza locations in Clovis, Portales and at Cannon Air Force Base are looking to donate canned goods to the Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico, according to a Domino’s news release.
Anyone bringing a canned good to Domino’s on Saturday will receive a medium, one-topping carryout pizza for $3.99, the release said.
The canned goods will be donated to the food bank.
YAM to host Quail Forever Banquet
A Blackwater Draw Quail Forever Banquet is scheduled April 9 at the YAM Theatre in Portales.
The banquet’s purpose is to raise funds for the Blackwater Draw chapter of Quail Forever and engage new people with the chapter, according to a news release from the group.
The banquet includes a brisket dinner, silent and live auctions, and raffles for prizes, the news release said.
Tickets are $50 for individuals, $70 for couples and $45 for children, students and military members. Children under 6 are admitted free.
