Produce giveaway moving to fairgrounds

The Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico is moving its March Produce to People event to the Curry County Fairgrounds. The first giveaway of produce at the new location is set for 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday.

Citizens are asked to bring their own bags, with a suggested amount of two to five bags, to the arena grandstand at 1900 E. Brady.

The event is a cooperation with the food bank, iCan and the Three7 project and is held on the fourth Monday of each month.

The food bank partners with 19 schools and 32 agencies to deliver emergency food to families and individuals in six New Mexico counties.
