Eastern New Mexico will have at least three girls state basketball champions this season.
The Elida girls, in Class 1A on Friday, won their sixth consecutive title, while Texico's girls upset previously unbeaten Tularosa in the 3A title clash.
Melrose and Logan play at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the 2A championship.
All three championship games were at The Pit in Albuquerque.
Elida beat Grady, 55-31, for its seventh girls' title in school history.
Elida finished its season with a 27-3 record.
Grady finished 20-11.
Texico beat Tularosa, 43-37, to complete its season at 24-4.
Top-seeded Tularosa finished with a 30-1 record.
