Men

• Records: ENMU 6-14 (2-6 Lone Star Conference), Angelo State 16-4 (4-4)

• Last meeting: Jan. 16, the Rams rallied from 16 points down with 11 minutes left and eight down in the final minute to beat ENMU 70-68 at Greyhound Arena.

• Last time out: Both teams played on Wednesday. ENMU beat Texas A&M-Kingsville 74-71 at home, while the Rams lost at West Texas A&M 92-77.

• Of note: ASU, ranked No. 12 in NCAA Division II, leads the conference in scoring (88.7 ppg), FT shooting (74 percent) and steals (9.1 spg). … The Rams are currently tied for fifth in the LSC with Texas A&M-Commerce, but they’re only 1 1/2 games behind co-leaders WT and Cameron, both 6-3. … Four players average in double figures for Angelo, led by 5-foot-10 senior G Tre Bennett (17.0 ppg, 40 percent 3-point FGs, 86 percent FTs, 4.5 apg, 27 steals) and 6-5 senior F Stedman Allen (16.3 ppg, 52 percent FGs). Both have scored in double figures in 11 consecutive games.

Women

• Records: ENMU 8-11 (3-6 Lone Star Conference), Angelo State 14-5, 7-2)

• Last meeting: Jan. 16, the Rambelles topped the Greyhounds 79-61 at Portales.

• Last time out: Both teams played on Wednesday, with ENMU blitzing Texas A&M-Kingsville 67-42 at Greyhound Arena and the Rambelles completing a season sweep of No. 7 West Texas A&M by outlasting the Lady Buffs 112-111 in triple overtime at Canyon, Texas.

• Of note: Wednesday’s game, decided on a basket with eight seconds left in the third OT by senior P Diamalises Rivera, moved the Rambelles within one-half game of the league-leading Lady Buffs (19-2, 8-2), and was also the longest game in program history. It was their first win in Canyon in 11 years. … ASU went 20-of-22 from the FT line and 12-of-29 from 3-point range against WT. … The Rambelles are 10-1 at home this season, including 5-0 in LSC play. … Taylor Dorsey, a 5-7 junior G, leads ASU in scoring (17.2 ppg), rebounding (5.9 rpg), assists (4.1 apg) and steals (33). Also scoring in double figures are 5-10 senior G/F Brea Mitchell (12.4. ppg) and 6-1 junior P Jasmine Prophet (12.3 ppg); both average more than 5 rpg and are shooting at least 50 percent from the field.
