Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
David Lansford is running unopposed for Clovis mayor in the March 1 municipal election.
CNJ asked him if he thinks the city should invest in more storm-fighting equipment in case we see Goliath II.
His response:
“I’m interested in getting a complete assessment from management of our resource and communication deficiencies that were identified as a result of the (Christmas weekend) blizzard.
“We are identifying areas that need fortification.
“Preparedness and communication channels, before and after the initial impacts of the storm, will be improved at minimal cost to taxpayers.
“Equipment needs will be forthcoming.”
